This project within the Red Lake Watershed District takes a collaborative approach to reducing flood damages and enhancing natural resources. Wetland restoration will help to reduce pollutant runoff into creeks and lakes, prevent damage from 100-year flood events, protect intensively farmed land from 10-year storm events and create thousands of acres of flood storage.
